Woodrow Pittman was one of the original members of Palmetto State Quartet. He sang lead for the group from 1946 until he was replaced by his first cousin Jack Earl Pittman in 1954. After leaving Palmetto State Quartet Woodrow also left his native Greenville, SC, moving to Asheville, NC to work at Biltmore House. Woodrow is now deceased.
